I. Preface

The Federation of Taiwan Pharmacists Association (hereinafter referred to as the “Federation”) has absolute respect for, and is dedicated to the protection of the security and privacy of online users of “FAPA 2023 TAIWAN” (hereinafter referred to as the “Website”) when they use the Federation’s internet. In the collection of your personal data, the Federation will comply with the rules of the “Personal Data Protection Act” of the Republic of China, and the relevant legislations and orders. Other than data acquired from the Website, which shall only be used for the original purpose and scope of use, none of your other personal data will be collected or used without the approval of the competent authority and your consent. To help you understand how the Website collects, processes, uses and protects the personal data that you provide, the “Privacy and Data Security Protection Policy” (hereinafter referred to as this “Policy”) has been established.

II. Personal Data Privacy Protection

  • Scope of Application
    This Policy is only applicable to the relevant measures in the collection, processing, use and protection of personal data involved when you use the service or event of any type provided by the Website. This Policy is not applicable to any relevant link outside this Website.
  • Purpose of Personal Data Collection, Type of Data and Manner of Use
    1. The Website does not collect any personally identifiable data upon simple viewing of the Website. However, in order to provide you with better personalized services, the Website will record data such as user’s IP address, time of connection, cookie and webpages of the Website viewed, etc., and will perform aggregated analysis of all user behavior as reference for improving the website services.
    2. Based on the services of various types currently provided by the Website (such as questionnaire, etc.) and services subsequently added in the future, when the Federation asks you to provide personal data, such as name, nickname, email address, telephone number, etc. required for the relevant service, you can freely choose whether or not to provide personal data. If such data is not provided, the Federation will not be able to provide you with the relevant services.
    3. The Federation will collect, process and use all personal data you provide in accordance with the Personal Data Protection Act and relevant rules of the Federation in the performance of its activities in order to fully protect your personal privacy.
  • Restriction on Data Provision
    The Website will never provide any third party with your personal data, unless there is any of the following circumstances:
    1. Cooperation with legal investigation by the judicial authority.
    2. Cooperation with the relevant authorities for investigation or use required by their duties.
    3. Administration for the purpose of maintaining and improving website services.
  • Security of Personal Data
    1. All servers of the Website are equipped with information security equipment and required security protection measures, such as firewalls, antivirus systems, etc. to prevent unlawful interception by third parties in the course of data transmission.
    2. Any attempt to interfere with the Federation’s services is strictly prohibited and shall incur legal liabilities. For the purpose of website security and to ensure continuity of services, the Federation will make its best efforts to adopt the following security protection measures:
      1. Use hacking detection system to stop anyone with the intention to sabotage the website.
      2. Establish firewalls to avoid improper use of website services and to protect users’ rights.
      3. Install antivirus system to provide users with a safe online environment.
      4. Execute daily data backup by tapes and place them in another secure location.
      5. Download patches from time to time to prevent undue behavior and to protect website security.
  • Ways to Exercise Rights to Personal Data
    1. When you register on the Website and become a member, you can use your account name and passcode to log into the Website at any time and verify, receive copies of, supplement, correct or delete the member personal data you provided through the “Member Data Update” function. We remind you that, once you ask the Federation to delete personal data for any service on the Website, you will no longer be able to enjoy such service.
    2. If you wish for the collection, processing or use of personal data under the previous paragraph to stop, an application must be filed with the Federation by the subject of the personal data with justification documents.
    3. In case of any of the following circumstances with personal data on the Website, the personal data will not be deleted but the collection, processing or use thereof will stop:
      1. There is a retention period provided by the law or contract.
      2. There is sufficient reason to determine that deletion will damage the subject’s interest that is worthy of protection.
      3. Other due reason against deletion.

III. Cookies

To provide you with the best services, the Website will place our Cookies and access them in your computer. If you do not accept such Cookies, you can change the configuration in your browser function to the highest privacy level to reject Cookies. However, certain functions may not be executed properly as a result.

IV. Revision to the Personal Data Privacy and Data Security Protection Policy

This Policy takes effect from its date of publication. However, in accordance with technology developments and changes in social environment, if anything is missing in the above policies, rules or applicable regulations, or in case of factors such as environmental change that is difficult to foresee in the future, the Federation has the right to revise this Policy as required to implement the purpose of privacy protection. Any revision to this Policy will be updated and published by the Federation swiftly after the revision, and you will be reminded by a clear message to click on and read the new version.



Copyright Protection Policy for Website Contributors

I. Preface

The Federation of Taiwan Pharmacists Association (hereinafter referred to as the “Federation”) respects the copyright of all contributed articles. In consideration of the relevant rules about rights and obligations, the Federation has established the “Copyright Protection Policy for Website Contributors” (hereinafter referred to as this “Policy”). All website users, contributors and relevant personnel should read this Policy carefully, comply with its provisions and undertake responsibility for their acts.

II. Copyright Protection

  • Copyright Statement of the Federation
    1. All contents posted on the website of the Federation, including text descriptions, photographs, pictures, audio recordings, images and other information, are protected by the Copyright Act, other than objects not covered by copyright in accordance with the Copyright Act (such as laws, orders, speeches drafted by civil servants, press releases, etc.; please refer to Article 9 of the Copyright Act).
    2. Other than reasonable use, the use of any content on this Website protected by the Copyright Act is subject to prior approval or authorization by the copyright holder.
    3. In general circumstances, links of other websites to this website is not subject to the approval of the Federation. However, the link should be clearly identified. If the link may mislead any user, the Federation will not allow such link.
  • Contributed Articles
    1. Allocation of Right, Authorization and Restriction
      1. Contributors enjoy moral rights to the articles they contribute.
      2. In submitting an article to the website, the contributor is deemed to have agreed for the Federation to use, reproduce, revise, publish, translate, publicly display and perform, distribute or otherwise use such contents in the relevant event. Such rights and permits take effect automatically upon submission by the users.
      3. The Federation undertakes that it will not use any contributed content to damage any third party’s copyright, trademark, patent, trade secret or other rights, nor will it use any contribution to the website to engage in any unlawful, harassing, slanderous, obscene, discriminative, or otherwise improper or illegal act.
    2. Contributor’s Obligations
      1. Contributors shall guarantee that neither their contributed contents nor the reproduction, public display, public showing, public transmission, adaption, distribution, publication or sub-license thereof shall damage any third party’s intellectual property rights. Otherwise, they shall be liable for compensating the Federation (including but not limited to litigation fee, attorney’s fee, etc.).
      2. If the contributor is permitted for reproduction, public showing or public transmission in accordance with the Copyright Act to the extent of reasonable use, the source shall be clearly indicated.


III. Disclaimer

  • All webpages and information on the websites linked to our website are provided by the linked websites and the relevant rights belong to such websites or their legal right holders. The Federation does not guarantee their correctness, timeliness or completeness.
  • When a user is linked to a third-party website or webpage through our platform, the Federation will not undertake any guarantee liability in relation to any content or service on such third-party website or webpage.
  • The Federation does not undertake any guarantee liability in relation to any contributed article, written work, edited work, derivative work or adaptation, etc. posted herein.


IV. Copyright infringement claim by right holders

If any webpage content or contributed article on our website infringes upon your copyright, please provide the relevant proof and statement, and give written notice to the Federation such as by email or fax for further handling.

V. Principles for handling breach of copyright

  • Upon receipt of a claim, the Federation will give email notice to the accused party and ask such party to provide a statement in reply within 3 days. If no statement is provided within 3 days or if the justifications provided are not sufficient, or if the accused party shows bad attitude or refusal to apologize, the Federation will remove and block all copyright infringing webpage contents, and will permanently freeze the member account.
  • In accordance with the “Privacy and Data Security Protection Policy”, unless the user grants consent or for the purpose of providing services, the Federation will only provide users’ identification data to third parties in accordance with the law or pursuant to the request of government authorities. If you file a claim in accordance with this policy, the Federation will only remove or block the relevant infringing contents pursuant to your request and will not provide any further identifiable data of such user. If you need to acquire data of the user, you need to file a complaint with the district court prosecutor’s office or criminal police department, and the Federation will cooperate and provide user information in accordance with the letter request from such authorities.
